Here at Stirling County you can start playing girls Rugby once you're in Secondary School. If you're still in Primary School you're welcome to join our minis Rugby teams (Primary 1 to Primary 7).
We have two girls' teams. Which team you play with is based on your age at the start of the season:
- Under 15 girls: For those in S1 - S3 who are 14 or under on 1st September of the current year.
- Under 18 girls: For those in S3 - S6 who are 15 or over on 1st September of the current year.
Our season normally starts in August and runs through to June. We aim to train Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
We train outdoors on both days but also in the Club's purpose built gym on Wednesdays.
For more information please follows us on Twitter @scrfcgirls or on our Facebook group: Stirling County Rugby Girls.
Can I try it out to see if I like it?
Of course. We would encourage you to give it a try for at least four sessions or two weeks.
What if I decide I want to keep playing?
In order to play matches you'll need to be a member of the Club. Further details of membership fees and forms are found here.
What kit do I need to play?
When you start you'll need at least a gum shield and to play in matches Rugby boots, shorts and socks (available from our Club shop)..
