Mini Section Tour 2010 – North Wales
Actual Tour Dates : Friday 2nd April – Monday 5th April 2010
(please note there is a date error in the membership booklet and website fixtures for tour dates)
We are currently arranging this season’s tour which will venture to North Wales. Accommodation will be within Howells School, Denbigh. This is 95% confirmed and will be notified, as confirmed in a future communication. The school’s website can be viewed at http://www.howells.org/.
As usual we plan to leave early Friday morning and return Monday evening. A full agenda will be issued nearer the time. The tour fee will be no more than £150. The final cost however, will be dependent on sponsorship and fundraising. This cost will include travel, accommodation, meals, evening entertainment and tour kit. At the moment, we require confirmation of numbers and clothing sizes of those wishing to tour. This will facilitate tour kit being ordered more cheaply and in sufficient time.
Please complete the attached confirmation & consent forms and return to the Club House on 31st October, 2009 with a non-refundable deposit of £70 or full payment of £150, if preferred. A tour representative will be available between 11:00am– 12:00 noon on 31st October, 2009 to receive returns.
(Please note Saturday coaches will not be accepting replies in advance as this could lead to confusion).
The balance of tour fees must be paid by 20th February, 2010. The actual amount will be confirmed & communicated in advance of such date. After the final payment date, any player cancellation or withdrawal, will be Non-Refundable, as arrangements will have already been made to accommodate them on tour and the club will have already incurred this cost.
Tour Criteria that all players must meet to qualify & participate on tour are:
* Must be a paid member of S.C.R.F.C. (Covers insurance for the season and on tour as well as members benefits)
* Players must have been available and played in several matches throughout the season.
The tour will have spaces for around 80 children and 16 coaches. To ensure an appropriate amount of players in each age group, a final review of numbers and criteria will be held by the tour committee. If there are too many children wishing to tour, it is possible that your child may be put on a reserve list. If this is the case, your deposit will be returned until a place becomes available.
Sponsorship and Fundraising is vital to the success of the mini section tour each year and a lot of volunteers within the section work very hard throughout the season to ensure your child has this opportunity. I would like to encourage you to assist and support the fundraising events at SCRFC.
If you or someone you know would be willing to sponsor the mini section tour this year (or in the future), please contact me or any team manager / head coach and we will be more than happy to discuss this further.
The hope is that future communications will be made via email, as this has worked well in previous tour’s communications to parents, hence the request for an email address within the confirmation form below.
