For the second year in a row the under 16s met Gala Red Triangle in the final. Two penalties gave the border team an early lead but Stirling came back with tries by D Gilmour and G Denham to open up a four point lead but a goal by Gala gave them a half time lead of 13 – 10. A second try by D Gilmour re-established the Stirling lead which was extended further courtesy of a try by S Hiddleston and conversion by S Edwards. A penalty and try by Gala brought the score to 22 – 21 in favour of Stirling. A late penalty by S Edwards eased the pressure somewhat and County were able to run down the clock for a well deserved win.
