It is with some regret, but a touch of reality, that we have decided to cancel our 7's event for this season. With the fixtures backlog impacting every club side in Scotland it has proved impossible for clubs to commit to appearing at Bridgehaugh on May 2nd. Many will have re-arranged league fixtures that weekend and beyond. We would like to thank (and offer our apologies for the cancellation) to the five clubs who agreed to attend and the many others who were honest enough to send their apologies.  We would also like to offer our apologies as well as our thanks to those who had indicated their willingness to support the event by sponsoring individual matches or taking hospitality.

After discussions within the club and with our main sponsor, Ondeo Industrial Solutions, it was agreed to this cancellation after the successes of the past 3 years. The club raffle will now be drawn at the club's final home league game against GHA (date dependant upon cup progress). We can confirm the Ondeo Stirling County 7's will continue in 2010/11 and current season structure discussions amongst the premier clubs and the Scottish Rugby Union should facilitate this as springtime event in the rugby calendar. Having achieved our initial goals of securing promotion back to Premier One and regaining the National Reserve (2nd XV) champions crown we turn our thoughts and efforts to the Premier Two championship, the Scottish Cup quarter finals and the Melrose 7's. These competitions ensure rugby throughout April and hopefully into May.
